Design Process

Sam Niemi DesignWorks utilizes fundamental project management principles to ensure that all projects run smoothly with minimal frustration or surprises on either side. Sam Niemi Designworks divides the project into phases with corresponding objectives and tasks to ensure that the process is easy to follow. Keeping the client informed through the entire project helps avoid confusion and frustration, and ensures that the project will reach its target destination safely and on time. Generally, there are four phases to any project:

Fact-finding – information-gathering meeting to build a clear understanding of the client's business and their intended project
Design exploration – several approaches and concepts are explored and developed for presentation to the client
Design refinement – approved concepts are refined into finished designs based on client comments and feedback
Design implementation – approved finished designs are prepared for final delivery to printers, service bureaus, or other suppliers
